Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Full Time Garden Sundries Sales Assistant.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.

General Assistant responsibilities;

Assisting with the seasonal turnarounds and setting up BBQs etc, may involve some heavy lifting
Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance
Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently
Identifying customers needs are met through interaction and taking appropriate action
Maintaining good, up-to-date knowledge of the layout of the centre
Excellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping are established and maintained in accordance with company guidelines
All products are accurately priced and labelled in accordance with Company Policy
Ensure personal compliance with Whitehall’s H&S guideline
Packing of goods is carried out in a professional manner, and carry outs are offered where required
Maintains a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third parties
Trolleys and baskets always available.
