Watkin Jones are excited to be sharing that we have an opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. Based from our London office, this is a an exciting initiative developed by the Group to support individuals through study and ongoing development within a commercial environment.
As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will assist with the management of the commercial function for projects you are allocated. This will include practical quantity surveying tasks and activities, actions to support colleagues and appropriate administrative duties one would associate with commercial / quantity surveying practices in relation to construction projects.
Working alongside a Quantity Surveyor, this role will allow you to gain hands-on relevant experience with the opportunity to travel to various Watkin Jones sites to learn more about the projects and develop your commercial skills.
About You
You’ll have excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and numeracy skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is also a must. You’ll be an ambitious individual with long term goals to help take the organisation to the next phase of its evolution, wanting a career within the commercial function. All quantity surveying qualifications are subject to qualifying criteria.
