Position Overview & Specifications

We are seeking to appoint a Graduate Programme Administrator to join the small and friendly Faculty administrative team. Based at the Middle East Centre (MEC), this role will provide support for two of the Faculty’s largest graduate degree programmes, the MPhil and MSc in Modern Middle Eastern Studies (MMES). This will include every stage of student administration, from admissions to on-course queries and examination processes.
This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge of a range of processes and regulations, as well as to interact and help students with a variety of queries, and to support the Course Director in their broader MEC activities.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence excellent organisational and IT skills, initiative and problem- solving abilities. The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders is essential, along with accuracy, attention to detail and discretion. For further details of the requirements for the role, please see the Further Particulars document. To make informal enquiries about the post, please contact Christine Mitchell, Senior Academic Administrator (christine.mitchell@ames.ox.ac.uk).
