  • Perform molecular biology experiments including DNA purification, gel electrophoresis and western blotting.
  • Maintain good laboratory practices, including excellent record keeping using electronic laboratory notebook systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, chemistry, or related fields. Students entering their final year of undergraduate studies would also be considered.
  • Laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting, specifically in molecular and cell biology.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and deliver information in a concise, accurate, and professional manner; strong written and oral communication skills; excellent data management skills.
  • An interest in cutting-edge science and a high degree of integrity and team orientation; a can-do motivating attitude.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Be currently pursuing a master’s degree or a PhD degree in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry or molecular and cell biology and be curious to get exposed to working in a biotech company.
  • 1 year or more of experience working in a molecular and cell biology laboratory in academic or industry settings.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience with cell culture and sterile technique for cell line maintenance and/or experience with standard molecular biology techniques (protein/DNA handling, UV/Fluorescence readings, gel electrophoresis).

Applicants are required to provide the following evidence and information before interview:

  • notify us of any reasonable adjustments in order to attend an interview.
  • have permission to work in the UK from the start of the internship.
