Our Security Officers will have the duty of:

Manning the University; Library and Student Accommodation.
Managing the gatehouse
Operating CCTV
Issuing visitor cards
Building rapport with students, visitors and staff.
Supporting students who have locked themselves out, re-gain access to their rooms.
Escorting visitors across the site when needed.
Deterring any suspicious or threatening behaviour
Managing any threatening behaviour until the arrival of the police or any other external agency.
Monitoring loss and waste
Reporting any incidences.
Patrolling

Essential Skills

Requirements of Security Officer:

Excellent customer service and people skills
Excellent organisational skills and time management
Ability to stay alert during unsociable hours
SIA License
5-year checkable employment history
