Position Overview & Specifications

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for Rigger Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 18:30, 1-hour lunch break. Saturday, 8 - 14.

Responsibilities:

Assemble lifting gear in accordance with rigging plans.
Attach loads to crane hooks by use of lifting equipment including spreader beams, lifting beams, and chain hoists, ensuring load balance, security and integrity.
Bank the crane by use of recognised signals to safely direct the load to different types of locations.
Manual handling activities.
To work as part of the Jacking/Skidding team.
Assist with the maintenance of the equipment.
Supervise rigging operations.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to create and manage emergency rescue plans.
Provide advice, recommendations and information on safety issues about climbing equipment and working at height.
Ensure the rigging team and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of rigging equipment, and apply safe work methods.
Supervise personnel during the load-in and load-out of rigging equipment.

Requirements:

CSCS.
Previous experience in similar roles.
EICTB level 3 + ACE Card (moving Enginering load) or ACE card (steel erector card)
