Laboratory Chemist

Job Description

Conduct Quality Control Sampling, sample analysis and data reporting according to all related regulatory standards and Standard Operating Procedures
Perform all functions related to taking samples, sample receipt, control and sample disposal
Perform analysis of routine samples and investigation of non-conforming samples, data evaluation and reporting
Write Quality documents including Standard Operating Procedures, laboratory equipment procedures
Prepare investigation protocols and report
Be responsible for the operation, maintenance, training delivery as an expert and maintain operating procedure for at least one piece of laboratory equipment
Perform technology transfer (method transfers) and critically evaluate data
Maintain own training record for regulatory compliance and Health & Safety

Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate a solid track record with proven, verifiable experience of:

Basic manual analytical technique and working experience with UV/VIS and FTIR (essential)
Working knowledge of tablet and capsule physical tests and tablet/capsule dissolution

(essential)

Familiar with equipment such as HPLC, GC (desirable)
Must not be allergic to beta- lactams penicillin’s (essential)
Bachelor’s degree or more in Chemistry with proven post qualification experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment with cGMP requirements (essential)
