Position Overview & Specifications

Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Hours: 8.30-3.30 Mon-Fri (Term time only)

About the role

The role will be based in the inclusion unit of the school. This is based outside of the classroom and is a dynamic position that requires the ability to respond to daily situations that arise. (This could be anything student related; from poor attendance, behaviour issues, anxiety, bullying or stress) Wellbeing and welfare of the students will be your priority ensuring that they are best prepared for their classroom learning. The school believes that the academic and pastoral sides of a student’s learning go together and a student cannot succeed unless they feel supported in both areas.

About you

The school are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate with a passion for supporting the welfare and wellbeing of pupils. Experience isn’t necessary but enthusiasm is a must. The job can be equally rewarding and give you a real sense of purpose. A desire to support pupils to make the most of their time in school, will see you play many roles, from motivational speaker to agony aunt. Being a good listener is a vital quality in this role.

Previous successful applicants have come from a variety of different backgrounds – not just from schools! We currently work with candidates who used to have careers in the police, armed forces, professional sport, prisons, museums and social work.

Here at LTF we only offer long term to permanent contracts – no daily supply. We believe these roles offer the best value to schools, employees and most of all students, as it helps to build a long term familiarity with the school community ensuring the best possible outcomes are achieved in terms of student wellbeing and success (and the many forms this may take). If this sounds like the right role for you, then don’t hesitate to apply and if successful Tim from LTF Recruitment will be in touch.
