Finance Business Analyst
Contract role - 12 months
£500-£550 per day Inside IR35
Remote working with occasional travel to company sites
Are you a Finance Business Analyst looking for a new contract role?
My client is looking for a candidate with deep knowledge of the Finance domain. You will have strong change management experience gained in previous finance transformation roles. A background in the energy sector would be beneficial but not a necessity.
This role sits within the Data stream of the Finance Transformation programme, a key initiative of which is an improved, rationalised Chart of Accounts that will underpin the processes, reporting and technology solutions included in the Finance Transformation roadmap.
In your role as a Finance Transformation Business Analyst you will have responsibility for:
- Delivering on programme assignments. Candidates will be expected to lead the delivery of changes and must be able to deal effectively with a wide range of technical and functional groups to oversee outcomes to a successful conclusion.
- Managing stakeholder expectations spanning group business areas with conflicting priorities
- Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with internal customers
- Ensuring management information is provided to and easily understood by programme lead, senior management & committees
Skills and Expertise
- Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) desired
- Plenty of relevant Finance Business Analyst roles in background
- Experience of delivering transformation projects within finance functions, either as a consultant or as part of an in-house change-delivery team. This could be finance technology projects (e.g. ERP implementations) or other operating model transformations or finance process-improvement
- Understanding of the impact of the relationship between finance and other functions (risk, tax, compliance etc.)
- Well developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with an awareness of analytical tools and data manipulation products
