Position Overview & Specifications

We are looking for a full time CAD design technician to join the Hygenius team.

The role of the Technician is to work within the Pre-Construction team and to provide a wide range of design outputs. This role will report to the Design Manager.

The main tasks include, but are not limited to:

Development of concept designs to produce working drawings for client approval
Generation of fabrication drawings
Production of layout & installation drawings

Key Responsibilities:

Bespoke product design
Generation of fabrication drawings
Production of room layouts & installation drawings
Liaising with internal & external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
Attendance and participation at both internal & external design review meetings
Compliance with ISO9001 quality management systems.

Key Skills, Attributes & Experience:

HNC/HND or equivalent professional qualification
Previous relevant design experience [preferably within joinery/fitted furniture environment]
Sound technical background and detailed knowledge of CAD
Revit experience desirable but not essential
Strong work ethic
Strong decision-making & problem solving abilities. Ownership is key.
Ability to manage and prioritise a constantly changing workload
Knowledge of and ability to apply value-engineering principles
Proactive approach, passion to succeed and a desire to produce quality outcomes
