Phlebotomist-IVF
Location: The Lister Hospital, Chelsea Bridge Rd, London SW1W 8RH
Hours: This is a part time vacancy, 22.5 hours per week ( Mon-Fri 8.30am-1pm)

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our well-respected IVF Clinic at The Lister Hospital for a Phlebotomist. This is a position with great scope for further progress and development within your career, working with highly skilled specialists in the Fertility field.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional person who is able to integrate into a large team easily. Whilst we are a big team, you will also be working autonomously at times so will need to be able to work alone.
Fertility experience is not required as we can provide you with all the necessary training that you need. You will have the opportunity to grow into more responsibility and diversify your role as the service grows and modifies and your career with us develops.
Main responsibilities:
- Obtaining blood specimens in line with blood processing and handling procedures
- Ensure patient safety and comfort whilst in the Fertility Clinic, making sure not to compromise on their dignity and privacy at all times
- Inform service users of the procedures and what will happen next
- Communicate effectively and considerately to the patients and their family/support
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a consistent level of care is provided to all service users and their support group
Skills/Experience:
- Extensive Phlebotomy experience
- Excellent communication skills with both work colleagues and patients
- Up to date knowledge of Health & Safety and Safeguarding protocols
- Knowledge of specimen requirements
- Intricate attention to detail
- Remain empathetic to patients at all times
