We are currently recruiting for a Barista at BNU - The Garden.

Location: Buckinghamshire - High Wycombe

Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, Monday - Sunday

Job Purpose:

To provide a friendly, warm and knowledgeable service to all customers.
To work as directed to prepare and serve both espresso and filter-based coffee following the standards set out by the CH&CO Barista academy and Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
Coffee knowledge and skill level expected to be aligned to SCA foundation barista and brewing skills.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Coffee Service

Prepare and serve all coffee beverages in a timely manner and to the CH&CO standard.
To fulfil daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance routines for coffee equipment
Calibrate coffee machine and grinder
Complete daily calibration log
Alter espresso recipe as required
Check water quality using water testing kits
Manage storage and stock rotation of coffee beans, ground coffee and milk supply
Keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the CH&CO standards.
Communicate with customers about our coffee products
Manage allergens in the barista area
Produce espresso-based coffees with latte art
Produce filter coffee to recipe on a range of brew methods
