Position Overview & Specifications

As a FarmED Front of House team member you will be working as part of a small team looking after our cafe visitors as well as the range of guests and visitors attending courses and events. There may be a light lunch for 10 farmers one day, a seasonal feast for 100 conference guests the next, and every day in the cafe is different!

This is a Monday to Friday vacancy with usual hours 11am to 3pm to cover the busier lunch period but some flexibility is needed and equally a 4 day working week, (excluding Mondays) will be considered for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience of working in a hospitality environment, cafe, restaurant, hotel or venue
Be fluent in English
Have bags of enthusiasm
Enjoy being a flexible team player with a positive, can do attitude & good communication skills
Be able to drive and have your own transport due to the remote location
Share the FarmED vision and core values; be environmentally conscious & have an interest in regenerative farming & food production.

Key responsibilities

Work alongside the Cafe Supervisor and FOH team to look after visitors to the Cafe; making coffee, waiting on tables, taking orders and clearing up.
Look after visitors attending courses, serving refreshments & lunches.
Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure that the cake counter maintains stocked with no wastage
Ensure that the standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times, especially at the end of service
Be an ambassador for FarmED in all you do.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks designated by the Group Director & Operations Manager.
