We are hiring for a wide range of job roles at our brand new tier 4 children’s mental health hospital, just outside of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

Location: Smallwood Manor, Uttoxeter.

Role Requirements/Specification:

To carry out an effective and comprehensive day to day grounds and gardens maintenance to all areas, this includes snow clearance in winter months
Responsible for ensuring all main entrances are kept tidy
Responsible for ensuring that all gardening equipment and machinery is used in a safe manner i.e., mowers, tractors and light plant (leaf blower and strimmer
Ensure COSHH advice is followed and to use the protective personal equipment supplied.
Carry out ad hoc lawn maintenance and pruning as required

Candidate Information:

To be able to detect and deal with common plant diseases and pests
To be competent in the use of spraying equipment for pesticides etc

Qualifications:

Essential:

Flexible and adaptable
Self-motivated person and able to work with minimum supervision
Recent experience in a ground’s maintenance
Experienced in the use of tractors, mowers, strimmer’s and similar grounds maintenance power tools

Desirable:

Previous experience of working in health care setting or similar environment
