Integration Engineer
Salary: Up to £55,000 & bonus, overtime, strong pension
Location: Stevenage
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious integration engineer with a growth mind-set to join a technically challenging team. The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team conduct the most complete test of missiles other than a firing and are the business test track. We design complex, real-time simulations that surround real hardware to allow us to ‘fire missiles indoors’.
As the Integration Engineer you will be responsible for understanding the range of missile sensors and integrating them with the real-time HWIL simulation. This involves testing with, and making modifications to, our target generation equipment.
You will be able to adapt to new engineering situations and be comfortable in abstracting detail in order to understand the simulation and missile’s behaviour.
The role expectations are that you will be on-site approximately 80% of the time
Integration Engineer skills and experience required:
Broad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:
- Interface debugging and system integration
- Radio Frequency or Infra-red design or testing
- Inertial sensor design or testing
- Use of microcontrollers (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
- System performance analysis
- Familiarity with Linux operating system
- State of the art technology & innovation
