Brace's Bakery is looking to recruit a Despatch Operators to join our Despatch department. This opportunity is predominately a "picker/packer" role so accuracy and attention to detail is a MUST. The successful candidate will be required to manage a variety of Brace's Bakery products from delivery lorries and/or vans, compile customer orders in line with the relevant documentation, and load the appropriate vehicles accurately and according to required timelines.

This role involves working 5 days out of 7, which includes every Saturday off and a day in the week. Applicants will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern basis so a degree of flexibility is required for these roles. Start and Finish times can include:

18:00 - 02:00am.

Summary of Key Role Accountabilities

To unload bread deliveries from transport
Counting and sorting stock into bulk orders
Checking quantities against delivery notes and reporting shortages through company processes
Printing customer invoices
Manually picking and stacking customer orders accurately
Driving a 3.5 tonne van from time to time in order to meet customer requirements.
Arranging orders by delivery sequence for each delivery vehicle
Loading delivery lorries and vans ready for dispatch
Maintaining and cleaning down the delivery area
Conducting health and safety checks of the site
Ensuring that the site is maintained in a hygiene manner in line with company standards and adopting a clean as you go approach

Salary: £11.41 per hour
