Axpo UK's business is growing and it requires additional support on the Finance/Tax/Controlling side from an experienced professional, who will be supporting the finance team in their controlling, budgeting, reporting and treasury activities.

What you will do

• Conduct budgeting and forecasting, as well as financial analysis to support decision-making
• Work with the Head of Finance on the management of statutory and group reporting for all UK companies
• Manage the relationship with external auditors and play a key role in the complex annual external and internal audit requirements
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as banks, government bodies, grids etc.
• Work with the finance team on ensuring financial controls are upheld including balance sheet integrity, IFRS to Performance Bridge and other controls
• Assist the Head of Finance with tax reporting requirements
• Work and advise the front office team on reporting requirements when reviewing new business activities
• Preparation of regulatory returns and RFIs (request for information) from the UK Authorities (e.g. FCA, Ofgem, BEIS, National Statistics)
• Ad-hoc assistance to Head of Finance & Operations on all aspects of Finance & Operations

What you bring & who you are

• You have a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, as well as CIMA and/or ACCA certification
• You possess strong knowledge of accounting, controlling, budgeting, treasury, IFRS and UK reporting requirements
• Prior understanding and experience in commodities is considered an advantage
• You have a practical knowledge of MS Office programs, in particular MS Excel and Power Point
• You are have strong communication and analytical skills
• You are fluent in English
