Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Seven Room Boutique guest house with rooms and spa. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance, as well as project managing maintenance projects. They will be expected to have a minimum of two years experience in plumbing, joinery or electrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and plumbing repairs

Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with fire and legionella safety regulations.

Project manage maintenance projects, including scheduling and coordinating work.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

Coordinate with outside contractors as needed

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

On occasion, be available to respond to out of hours maintenance calls

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience in plumbing, joinery or electrics.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems

Ability to work independently and make decisions

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to work well under pressure

Flexibility to work various shifts and on call as required.

Legionella and Fire Safety certification or willingness to obtain.
