HGV MECHANIC VACANCY

We are looking to recruit an HGV Mechanic to be based at our Bridlington site maintaining fleet of Refuse Trucks, Skip-loaders, hook-loaders and plant.

You are required to have:

Have relevant qualifications or experience required to maintain vehicles and plant machinery.
Have a flexible approach to work – as we are a operate long hours and you will be expected to work to meet business demands.
Be able to manage your time effectively, working both alone and as part of a team.

Your duties will include:

Ensuring that the HGVs and trailers are kept in service by monitoring and repairing defects as they arise.
Putting in place a preventative maintenance schedule.
Respond to breakdowns when necessary.
Liaising with transport management to ensure compliance requirements are met.
Vehicle Inspections
Ability to work on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
General Servicing
Correction / repair of vehicle defects
MOT Preparation / Presentation
Completion of all required paperwork
