About Us:

When you join 2 Sisters, you will become part of one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, with an annual turnover of £3billion+, employing 13,000 across 16 sites.

This role sits within our Meals division, where we live by our mantra of ‘Making Every Meal Moment Special’. We have 5sites creating over 500 different products to feed our nation, from ready meals to iced fingers…we love our food, and we love our people.

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we couldn’t do it without our team. It is a team where everyone counts…we empower you with trust and give you the freedom to deliver. We ‘do what we say’ and accept accountability which allows our customers to trust us to create great tasting, innovative and quality meal solutions.

About the Role:

Our chilled foods site in Carlisle is a key part of our Meals division, employing around 1200 people across three separate factories.

The role offers plenty of challenge and variety (you will be part of a team covering the whole site) and key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing your teams, working closely with line leaders and their teams to ensure all departmental production and efficiency targets are achieved.
  • Supporting other Production Managers within the team, providing cover as required and working collaboratively to improve processes and identify more effective ways of working.
  • Constantly reviewing operational trends and performance metrics (eg, OEE, GMP) and putting corrective actions in place to ensure delivery of the production plan.
  • Identifying areas of improvement within your team, ensuring all colleagues are trained/coached effectively in order to meet their full potential.
  • Promoting a safety first culture across the department, ensuring compliance to all HSE standards.

About You:

This is a great chance to join a fast-paced food manufacturing business, offering plenty of opportunities for ongoing training and career progression, and we’re keen to hear from people with the following skills and experience:

  • Leading and developing teams in a food manufacturing environment – this role would suit Shift/Production Managers seeking a new challenge or Line/Area Managers looking for career progression.
  • Results focused, with demonstrable experience of achieving KPIs and driving performance.
  • Proactive in approach, a ‘hands on’ manager who can motivate a team and also, when appropriate, challenge underperformance.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills, able to monitor and interpret data to make informed decisions and improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
